Used SEM 655D 5-ton wheel loaders for sale

The SEM 655D is a 5-ton wheel loader designed for quarry work, aggregate handling, stockpile management, truck loading, road construction, and general earthmoving. With an operating weight of around 17 tons, it sits in a practical mid-size class for contractors that need strong loading performance without moving to a much heavier loader.

Makana’s SEM 655D uses a 6-cylinder Weichai WD10G220E22 diesel engine producing around 220 hp, paired with a SEM TR200 countershaft powershift transmission.

Buy SEM 655D wheel loaders with 2.7 m³ bucket

The Makana configuration comes with a 2.7 m³ general-purpose bucket measuring about 3.1 m wide. Rated operating capacity is 5,000 kg, making the loader suitable for sand, aggregate, road base, soil, and other bulk construction materials.

Breakout force reaches around 168 kN, helping the bucket penetrate and fill efficiently when working into stockpiles or compacted material.

Why choose a SEM 655D?

The loader provides around 3.1 m of dump height and 1.2 m of dump reach, giving it practical clearance for loading trucks, hoppers, and processing equipment.

The hydraulic system uses twin-pump flow merging, providing up to 312 L/min of hydraulic flow for responsive boom and bucket cycles.

Maximum travel speed reaches approximately 39 km/h, helping the loader move efficiently between loading areas, stockpiles, and other work zones.

The 23.5-25 tyres, articulated chassis, 260 L fuel tank, and full cab with air conditioning make the 655D suitable for regular production work in quarries, construction yards, plants, and bulk-material operations.
