You can place two types of bids: 1) Normal Bid: a standard bid placed as an increment over the current highest bid. You manually raise the price each time you want to bid. and 2) Max Bid: lets you set the maximum amount you're willing to pay for an item. The system will then automatically bid on your behalf, enough to keep you in the lead, until your max limit is reached. You can change or remove your max bid anytime before the auction ends.

Where live auctions are real-time, event-based sales led by an auctioneer. You can join online or in person, watch bids happen live, and participate directly.
