Used Cat 966H 24-ton wheel loaders for sale

The Cat 966H is a 24-ton wheel loader built for truck loading, stockpile work, aggregate handling, road construction, backfilling, and general earthmoving. Its combination of machine weight, bucket size, and loading reach makes it a practical production loader for quarries, batching plants, construction sites, and large material yards.

Makana’s Cat 966H machines use a 6-cylinder Cat C11 ACERT diesel engine producing 260 hp, paired with a planetary powershift transmission for repeated loading and carrying cycles.

Buy Cat 966H wheel loaders with 4.2 m³ bucket

The Makana configuration comes with a 4.2 m³ general-purpose bucket with teeth and a top grid. This setup is well suited to sand, gravel, road base, aggregate, soil, and other loose bulk materials.

The loader has a tipping load of around 14 tons, giving it the stability required for regular bucket loading and material movement across demanding jobsites.

Why choose a Cat 966H?

Maximum dump height reaches approximately 3.2 m, while dump reach is around 1.3 m. These figures provide useful clearance when loading trucks, handling stockpiles, or feeding site equipment.

Makana’s machines also include features such as ride control, pilot controls, a rear-view camera, and LoadRite onboard weighing, helping operators manage repeated loading cycles and monitor payload more efficiently.

Cat wheel loader for quarries and truck loading

The 966H can travel at up to 37.4 km/h, helping it move efficiently between loading faces, stockpiles, and trucks. Large 26.5R25 tyres support work across quarry, construction, and aggregate-yard surfaces.

A 380-liter fuel tank also supports longer working periods in production environments where reducing interruptions matters.
