Used Cat 980K 31-ton wheel loaders for sale

The Cat 980K is a 31-ton wheel loader designed for quarry production, aggregate handling, surface-mining support, crusher feed, stockpile work, and high-volume truck loading. Its combination of machine weight, bucket capacity, and engine power puts it in a production class above general-purpose mid-size loaders.

Power comes from a Cat C13 ACERT diesel engine rated at 369 hp, paired with a planetary powershift transmission for demanding loading and carrying cycles.

Buy Cat 980K wheel loaders with 5.4 m³ bucket

The Cat 980K available through Makana comes with a 5.4 m³ spade-nose excavation bucket measuring approximately 3.5 m wide. The bucket is particularly relevant to quarry face work, aggregate, shot rock, road base, and other heavy bulk materials.

Breakout force is around 238 kN, providing the digging force required to penetrate material piles and fill the bucket during repetitive production cycles.

Why choose a Cat 980K?

The loader has a tipping load of approximately 19 tons, providing the stability required when working with a large bucket and dense materials.

Maximum dump height reaches around 3.27 m, while dump reach is approximately 1.55 m, giving the loader useful clearance when loading trucks, feeding crushers, or working around hoppers.
