JLG and Genie scissor and boom lifts in Dubai October auction

Makana Machinery Auction 05 gives access-equipment buyers a mix of electric scissor lifts and diesel telescopic boom lifts, with starting bids from USD 3,000.

The October line-up ranges from compact JLG slab scissors for indoor work to 4WD JLG and Genie boom lifts for outdoor construction and maintenance. All are located in Dubai, with online bidding running from October 1 to October 5, 2026.

For contractors, rental fleets and access-equipment buyers, that means different working heights and reach patterns available through the same Dubai online auction.

Scissor lifts for sale in Dubai from USD 3,000

The scissor lifts at auction start at USD 3,000, with three electric JLG machines currently in the October line-up.

These lifts are built mainly for vertical access on firm, level surfaces. That makes them useful for warehouse work, fit-out projects, MEP installation, facility maintenance and construction work on finished slabs.

Unlike a boom lift, the platform travels mainly upward rather than reaching far beyond the machine. The benefit is a larger working platform and a compact footprint for jobs where the work point is directly above or close to the lift.

JLG 2646ES and JLG 3246ES

Two JLG 2646ES scissor lifts start at USD 3,000 each. With working heights of about 10 m, they fit indoor and slab-based jobs where contractors need more elevation without moving into a larger access machine.

The JLG 3246ES also starts at USD 3,000, but extends the working height to about 12 m.

That extra 2 m can make the 3246ES more useful for higher ceilings, warehouse services and taller indoor installation work, while the 2646ES covers many common mid-height access jobs.

All three are electric machines, making them particularly useful where lower noise and no exhaust emissions at the point of use are important.

Telescopic boom lifts for sale in Dubai with up to 16 m working height

When the work point is not directly above the machine, a boom lift gives the operator both height and horizontal reach.

The current boom lifts at auction include two diesel 4WD telescopic machines from JLG and Genie, both starting at USD 10,000.

They suit outdoor construction, façade work, steel structures, roofing, industrial maintenance and other jobs where the platform needs to extend outward from the chassis.

JLG 460SJ and Genie S-40

The JLG 460SJ reaches a working height of about 16 m. Its telescopic boom gives a direct outward reach, making it useful where crews need to access high points without positioning the chassis immediately below them.

The Genie S-40 works at around 14 m, putting it slightly below the JLG in maximum height while covering many of the same construction and industrial access jobs.

Both are 4WD diesel boom lifts, which makes them much better suited to outdoor jobsite movement than the electric slab scissors in the same auction.

Both also start at USD 10,000, so buyers have two different telescopic boom-lift sizes entering the auction at the same opening price.

Scissor lift or boom lift: two different access jobs in one auction

The October aerial-work-platform line-up is useful because it is not simply several versions of the same machine.

The scissor lifts give crews vertical access from a relatively compact machine, while the telescopic boom lifts extend both upward and outward.

That gives rental companies and contractors access to machines for very different jobs without leaving the same auction.

View aerial work platforms online with inspection reports and working videos

Online bidding does not mean buying from a small set of listing photos. Makana gives bidders digital access to the actual machines before Auction 05 begins. Depending on the lift, this can include 75+ point inspection reports, detailed high-resolution image galleries, operational videos, walk-around footage, 360° views and Ultra-HD 3D views.

That gives buyers a close look at the platform, boom or scissor structure, controls, chassis, tyres and overall machine condition from wherever they are bidding. Machines can also be viewed in person at Makana's showroom in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai.
