Used JLG 1200SJP 38 m boom lifts for sale

The JLG 1200SJP is a 38 m diesel telescopic boom lift built for major construction, steel erection, industrial shutdowns, infrastructure, and maintenance projects where extreme height and long horizontal reach are required.

Maximum working height reaches approximately 38.5 m, while horizontal outreach extends to nearly 23 m. This allows operators to reach high façades, structural steel, industrial equipment, bridges, and other work areas that may be well away from the machine’s chassis.

The 1200SJP provides dual platform capacity. Operators can use up to 230 kg throughout the unrestricted working envelope, while capacity increases to approximately 450 kg within the restricted envelope.

This allows the machine to support different combinations of personnel, tools, and materials depending on the required boom position.

Why choose a JLG 1200SJP?

A major feature is the 2.44 m JibPLUS jib, which provides around 180° of horizontal movement as well as vertical articulation. Combined with 180° hydraulic platform rotation, it gives operators more flexibility when positioning the basket around steelwork, façades, pipe racks, and other structures.

The boom also provides continuous 360° rotation, allowing work around the machine from a single chassis position.

JLG 4WD boom lift for high-access projects

This generation uses a Deutz turbo-diesel engine producing around 75 hp, together with full-time 4WD and selectable steering modes. Extendable axles and four-wheel steering help provide both stability at height and manoeuvrability when repositioning.

Gradeability reaches approximately 45%, while stowed travel speed is around 5.2 km/h. The machine weighs roughly 18.5 tons, providing the heavy chassis required for its large working envelope.
