Used Hitachi ZX225 excavators for sale in UAE

The Hitachi ZX225 is a 25-ton excavator built for contractors who need strong digging performance in places where working space is limited. Its reduced-tail-swing design keeps the rear of the machine more compact during rotation, making it especially useful for roadwork, utilities, urban construction, drainage, and projects close to walls or traffic.

Powered by an Isuzu AR-4HK1X engine producing around 170 hp, the ZX225 combines a boom of approximately 6 m with digging depth of around 7 m and reach close to 10 m. Bucket configurations are around 1 m³, giving the machine useful capacity for trenching, foundations, loading, and general earthmoving.

The compact rear design is one of the main reasons contractors choose the ZX225. With a rear swing radius of around 2 m, the excavator can rotate and work in tighter areas than many conventional machines in the same weight class.

Hitachi’s TRIAS II hydraulic system is designed to reduce hydraulic losses while maintaining smooth combined movement of the boom, arm, bucket, and swing. Power and ECO operating modes also allow performance to be matched to the workload.

Why choose a Hitachi ZX225?

The ZX225 delivers around 160 kN of bucket digging force, giving it strong breakout performance for trenching, compacted soil, foundations, and daily excavation.

Its LC crawler undercarriage provides a stable base while retaining the compact upper-structure design. This combination is particularly useful on urban infrastructure projects where digging power is important but unrestricted swing space is not available.

The ZX225 works well for roads, drainage, utility trenches, foundations, site preparation, and truck loading. Its approximately 10 m reach also gives operators useful coverage without requiring a larger machine.
