Used Cat M318D wheeled excavators for sale in UAE

The Cat M318D is a 20-ton wheeled excavator built for contractors who need digging capability together with fast movement between work areas. Powered by a Cat C6.6 ACERT engine producing around 170 hp, it is especially useful for roadwork, utilities, drainage, urban construction, trenching, and loading jobs where a crawler excavator may be slower to reposition.

Depending on configuration, the M318D offers around 6 m digging depth and close to 10 m reach. Bucket sizes vary by setup, with capacities around 1 m³ available for general excavation and material handling.

The biggest advantage of the M318D is mobility. Its two-speed hydrostatic transmission allows travel speeds of up to 37 km/h, helping contractors move between nearby work zones without loading the excavator onto a trailer for every short relocation.

Different configurations can also include a dozer blade, front or rear stabilizers, and auxiliary hydraulic plumbing. Stabilizers provide additional support during digging and lifting, while auxiliary hydraulics allow compatible attachments to be used for more specialized jobs.

Why choose a Cat M318D?

The M318D combines road mobility with the digging performance expected from a full-size excavator. Bucket digging force is around 125 kN, providing useful breakout power for utility trenches, drainage work, compacted ground, and roadside excavation.

Its wheeled platform is particularly useful on paved areas and developed sites where contractors need to move regularly between work points while minimizing disruption to the surface.
