XCMG GKS285 28 m truck-mounted boom lifts for sale

The XCMG GKS285 is a 28 m truck-mounted boom lift designed for utility maintenance, street lighting, signage, telecommunications, building access, inspection, and other jobs where crews need to work at height across several locations.

Unlike a self-propelled boom lift that normally stays within one project site, the GKS285 is mounted on a Foton 4×2 flatbed truck, allowing the entire access platform to travel by road between jobs.

Maximum working height reaches 28 m, while the platform supports up to 200 kg for two people within the rated operating limits.

The telescopic boom provides the reach required for lighting poles, utility networks, façades, road signage, warehouse exteriors, and inspection work. Front and rear outriggers create a stable working base when the boom is deployed.

Why choose an XCMG GKS285?

Road mobility is the main advantage. The Foton chassis uses a 2.5 L Quanchai diesel engine producing around 143 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Maximum road speed reaches approximately 100 km/h, allowing service teams to travel between different work locations without transporting a separate self-propelled boom lift on a trailer.

Remote boom operation also gives crews additional flexibility when setting up and operating the access system.

The GKS285 is particularly relevant to street-light maintenance, telecommunications, utility networks, signage installation, municipal work, façade maintenance, inspection, and emergency access.

The 4,495 kg gross vehicle weight, 4×2 chassis, air-conditioned day cab, and 120 L fuel tank make it a practical mobile access unit for contractors whose jobs are distributed across roads, developments, and facilities.
