To participate in our auctions, first create an account by clicking "Register" on our homepage and create an account. Once registered, you can explore available heavy machinery auctions, each with descriptions, photos, and inspection reports.

When you find an item you’re interested in, enter your bid amount and click "Place Bid," confirming that all bids are binding. You can also set a maximum bid to let our system automatically increase your bid up to your limit. Monitor your bids through your account dashboard and enable notifications to stay updated if you are outbid.

Auctions close at a set time, but late bids may extend the auction briefly. If you win, you’ll receive a confirmation email with payment instructions. Payments must be made within the specified time frame, and we accept bank transfers and credit cards. After payment, our Makana specalists can help you to arrange shipment of your item to your destination.

Two Ways to Place Bids

1. Manual Bid
Enter your bid based on the next bidding increment. This option gives you full control to actively participate and adjust your bids as the auction progresses.

2. Maximum Bid (Auto-Bid)
- Set the highest amount you’re willing to pay, and let our system bid on your behalf:
- The system will always place the lowest amount needed to keep you in the lead.
- If another bidder places a higher offer, your bid will automatically increase — up to your maximum limit.
- In case of a tie, the earliest bid placed takes priority.
- You can update or change your maximum bid at any time before the lot closes.

Bid Deposit and Payment Information

Registration

Registration to bid is free of charge. You will need to pay a refundable bid deposit to bid.

Bid Deposits

If you have placed a deposit by credit card, the deposit amount will be applied to unpaid invoices immediately after auction. A 2.95% credit card fee applies to all credit card payments.

Note: Your deposit unlocks 4× your bidding power - for example, a $5,000 deposit allows you to bid up to $20,000 in total.

Bid Deposit Methods

Online bidder: Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard) or Wire Transfer.

Bidding in person: Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard), Wire Transfer, or Cash.

Wire Transfer information

Submit your bid deposit by wire transfer to the following account. Include your name, ID number with your transfer.

Once you make your transfer, send the receipt to hello@makana.com, and we will reply back to you with the confirmation once it is received.

Note: Wire transfer deposits must be made at least two banking days before the bidder can place a bid.
